What Computer Seraph doesComputer Seraph provides computer consulting services to churches. Churches have particular information handling needs, including mailing lists, stewardship mailings and responses, and financial management. Then there's the publishing which churches undertake regularly: weekly bulletins, newsletters, and special event publicity, not to mention the growing field of publishing on the Internet. These needs require attention that they don't always get. All too often, a church spends a great deal of effort and money on a brand-new system, which then lands on a secretary's or pastor's desk, and sits. The most common omissions in the purchase of a new computer are:
Computer Seraph can help churches choose a new or upgraded computer, transfer old information to a new system, create new databases for church use, and train staff. Because this service is directed toward local churches, the rates are low and negotiable. In 1997, Computer Seraph began offering full-featured Web site hosting at an excellent value. These projects have included major database preparation, networking, purchase recommendations, Web site research, and training. Anderson is an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ, and serves as an interim minister in the Connecticut Conference, UCC. He has had experience with a variety of personal computers and operating systems, including Apple II ProDOS, MS-DOS, Windows 3.11, Windows 95, and Macintosh. He has been a member of the Connecticut Conference Board of Directors, and chaired the Computer Committee for the Board. Eric Anderson is also husband of E. Evelyn Eddy, and father of Brendan and Rebekah.
